I hope you will checkout my latest TechRepublic article – “Learn to configure Cisco IOS NAT on a stick” by David Davis, CCIE & published just today, over at TechRepublic.com! This is very cool stuff for any CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE candidate to understand.
In this video, you will find the answers to “What are OSPF Link State Advertisements (LSA) and how do you configure them?”I know that the video sounds a bit “robotic” but I think it is still good information for all CCNA/CCNP candidates and network admins to know. Enjoy!

Recently, Cisco posted some YouTube videos in preparation for the upcoming Cisco Networkers 2008 in Orlando. Here is Lance Perry of Cisco Systems talking about the upcoming event:

This year, Cisco Networkers 2008 (aka “Cisco Live”) will be held in Orlando, Florida. This is a big change from 2006 when I attended in Las Vegas and and even further from 2007, when it was held in Anaheim, CA.
The Official Dates are June 22-26, 2008 and the registration cost is between $1900 and $2200 depending on when you register. There are additional lab training sessions you can register for as well. The convention will be held at the Orlando Convention Center as there are expected to be over 20,000 attendees.
When I attended in 2006, it was amazing and electrifying! Last year, the rock band KISS performed. As usual, the keynote speaker will be John Chambers
I hope you will consider attending as well and perhaps I will see you there! If you are attending, I would love to get some photos from you to post on Happy Router.com!
Recently, I published an article over at the Petri Knowledgbase, entitled “What is Cisco Telepresence and what does it take?“. In that article, I covered why you should care about telepresence, what it can do for you, and what you need to do to prepare your network to support telepresence. Believe me, there is a lot more to telepresence than just “video conferencing”.
A friend passed the following YouTube video along to me. In this video, telepresence looks more like the “holodeck” from Star Trek. Check it out, it is truly amazing!

Recently, I reviewed Train Signal’s Video course covering Cisco’s 642-845 ONT (Optimizing Converged Cisco Networks) exam. This ONT exam is part of the Cisco CCNP certification.
Honestly, these Cisco training videos are the best I have seen. The instructor is Chris Bryant. He is a CCIE and has a knack for explaining the in’s and out’s of Cisco networking. If you want to learn more about the topics included- Click here for the full list of course topics and to learn more about the Train Signal CCNP ONT Video

In case you aren’t viewing this on the Happy Router website or in case you have never been to Happy Router.com before, Happy Router.com has received website make over!
No, we didn’t win the make over from some daytime TV show. I worked with PDXDesigner.com (aka Steve Beatty) to move Happy Router.com from Joomla as the backend content management system (CMS) to WordPress. As you can see from the new site, we also created a new template for the site that, in my opinion, is truely amazing!
If you are receiving this via RSS feed, I hope you will come checkout the new Happy Router.com
If you aren’t yet subscribed to our RSS feed or our Happy Router Newsletter, I hope you will do that from the homepage ofof Happy Router.com.
Stay tuned for a lot more frequently posted how-to articles and videos covering Cisco networking!
